Travel day to Fallon, Nevada after a failed search for MacGillivray’s Warblers.  I am in a hotel for the night for some badly needed rest and relaxation.

I camped at Crane Flat and worked the surrounding area.  The Merced Grove trail and Crane Flat lookout tower road were especially productive.  The bird list is 25 and 26 June combined.

I am back in business again after picking up the car with a new radiator.  I arrived in Yosemite National Park and camped at Porcupine Flat on 24 June.  On 25 June I headed to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir only to find that the entire study area was the site of last year’s 2013 fire.  The area was burned out so I began recording birds within Yosemite NP.   Here are some photos of some of the classic stops in Yosemite.

I had to rent a car to collect data from Riverton, CA.  I drover there the night of 23 June and was able to record 22 males for a very successful trip while waiting for Subaru to install a new radiator in my Subaru.
